A 2-DAY FRANKLIN BALL CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP

PARTICIPANTS WILL GRADUATE WITH A FRANKLIN METHOD® BALLS FOR EQUESTRIANS CERTIFICATE. OPEN TO EQUESTRIANS OF ALL LEVELS AND RIDING INSTRUCTORS THIS IS THE ONLY OFFICIAL FRANKLIN METHOD® BALLS FOR EQUESTRIANS CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP.

DURING THIS 2-DAY FRANKLIN® BALL WORKSHOP YOU’LL LEARN HOW TO…

• FEEL MORE SUPPLE IN YOUR SEAT SO YOU CAN DIRECT YOUR HORSE MORE EFFECTIVELY
• RELEASE LONG-HELD TENSION SO YOU CAN GIVE AIDS INTUITIVELY AND WITH EASE
• USE ANATOMIC IMAGERY AND PROPRIOCEPTION TO NATURALLY SYNC UP WITH YOUR HORSE
• BECOME MORE AWARE OF YOUR BODY SO YOU CAN SELF-CORRECT MISALIGNMENTS
• MASTER YOUR MINDSET SO YOU FEEL RELAXED AND FOCUSED

Many equestrians and riding instructors use balls to improve their posture, movement, and cues. Almost none of them are certified in Franklin Method® (FM) Balls, which means most riders and teachers are missing out on 75% of the benefits of using balls. Expand your toolkit by learning Franklin Method® philosophy, embodied function, and Dynamic Neuro-cognitive Imagery™. If you’re already using the balls, your results are going to multiply. If you’ve never tried them, you’ll reach a whole new level of potential in yourself and your horse.

SIMPLY SITTING ON THE BALLS ONLY GIVES YOU A FRACTION OF THEIR BENEFITS. WITHOUT IMAGERY AND EMBODIED FUNCTION, BALLWORK FALLS FLAT. SITTING ON THEM MIGHT TEMPORARILY RELEASE A LITTLE TIGHTNESS, BUT WITHOUT THE ANATOMICAL EDUCATION AND SCIENTIFICALLY-PROVEN MENTAL WORK, OLD PATTERNS WILL QUICKLY RETURN.

THIS WORKSHOP IS COMPRISED OF THE
UNIQUE FRANKLIN METHOD® APPROACH:

DYNAMIC NEURO-COGNITIVE IMAGERY™

This is where you learn on positive imagery in relation to your anatomy. If we were working with the pelvis, you might imagine your pelvis sliding through coconut oil, supple and slippery as the halves move in opposition. It’s not just imagery or visulation, it’s the imagery combined with dynamic movement and embodiment that makes this mind body process uniquie.

There are 1000s of images in the Franklin Method® arsenal, and it’s always growing new approaches and new scientific studies are published.

ANATOMICAL EMBODIED FUNCTION

When we move our bodies in alignment with our anatomy, that’s embodied function. For example: when you squat down your sit bones spread apart. If you tried to keep your squat short and narrow, that would defy your anatomy and create a contraction rather than an expansion… aka, stiffness and pain instead of flexibility and ease.

By squatting wide, deep, and low, you support the natural movement of your body. Embodied function helps you improve flexibility, strength, and sensitivity without tensing your muscles.

PROPRIOCEPTION

Proprioception is your ability to physically sense what’s going on in your own body, and what’s going on for your horse. It’s also the ability for your nervous system to produce and coordinate movement. Franklin Method® teaches simple exercises and images to wake up proprioception and get your “antenna” receiving all the information that’s available to you.

“As a rider and keen proponent of classical dressage I was very aware of my own weaknesses and asymmetries but never very sure of how I could address them, something always seemed to be missing. The Franklin Method workshop has really helped to bridge that understanding, specifically by waking up my awareness of what it was that I was actually doing. The workshop is really thorough taking you through various exercises from head to toe. I was amazed at what I found out about myself from doing some of the tiniest movements. I followed the exercises and was really impressed with the effects, particularly in terms of achieving more suppleness, which has had positive consequences for my riding. “ Jane Moon
FOR OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE, YOUR CONNECTION WITH YOUR HORSE NEEDS TO BE LIKE A SEAMLESS PAIRING: STRONG AND CLEAR, WITH AS LITTLE STATIC AS POSSIBLE.

DO YOU WISH YOU COULD COMMUNICATE SEAMLESSLY WITH YOUR HORSE MORE CONSISTENTLY, AND IN DOING SO, IMPROVE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR HORSE AND YOUR OVERALL PERFORMANCE?

FRANKLIN METHOD® (FM) IS A SCIENTIFICALLY-PROVEN MIND-BODY MOVEMENT SYSTEM THAT BLENDS EMBODIED FUNCTION AND DYNAMIC NEURO-COGNITIVE IMAGERY™.

YOU’LL LEARN EXACTLY HOW YOUR BONES, MUSCLES, AND ORGANS MOVE AND BEHAVE INTERNALLY, AND HOW TO MOVE YOUR BODY IN A WAY THAT SUPPORTS THEM. AS YOU MASTER FM THIS PROCESS BECOMES VERY INTUITIVE.

ONCE YOUR BODY HAS THE EXPERIENCE OF BEING SOFT AND SUPPLE, THAT WILL BECOME YOUR NATURAL, EFFORTLESS STATE. IF YOU NEVER GIVE YOUR BODY THE EXPERIENCE OF WHAT THAT’S LIKE, YOU CAN’T REACH YOUR OPTIMAL STATE, AND YOU’LL STAY STUCK IN THE SUBOPTIMAL PATTERNS YOU’VE BEEN PRACTICING FOR A LONG TIME.

FM IS ALL ABOUT EXPERIENCING YOUR OWN ANATOMY AND LEARNING HOW TO MOVE IN A WAY THAT SUPPORTS YOUR BODY AND YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR HORSE. BY EXPERIENCING THIS EDUCATION PHYSICALLY INSTEAD OF MENTALLY, YOU REWRITE OLD PATTERNS AND PERMANENTLY IMPROVE YOUR NATURAL STATE.

WHY TAKE THIS CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP?

PERHAPS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU SHOULD BE DOING IN THE SADDLE, BUT SOMETIMES YOU JUST FEEL PHYSICALLY AND/OR MENTALLY OFF, AND YOU KNOW YOUR HORSE CAN FEEL THAT TOO. YOU WANT A PRACTICAL APPROACH TO IMPROVING YOUR RIDING SKILLS AND YOUR CONNECTION WITH YOUR HORSE.

IF YOU’RE A TEACHER, YOU’D TAKE THIS CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP TO EXPAND YOUR SKILL SET, TRANSFORM YOUR TEACHING STYLE, AND GUIDE YOUR STUDENTS TO SELF-CORRECT. NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOUR CUES ARE, IF YOUR STUDENTS DON’T HAVE ACCURATE BODY AWARENESS AND SHARP FOCUS, THEY CAN’T MAKE THE NECESSARY CORRECTIONS.

Your seat can’t be stiff and tight, because your horse will sense it have difficulty moving also. The same goes for your mindset. If you’re anxious or scatterbrained, your horse will feel that and take on that propensity as well.

You’ll learn exactly how to move your pelvis with your horse so you can communicate clearly and efficiently through your seat. Your horse will no longer have to compensate for your misalignment’s, freeing him or her up to perform at a higher level.

Improper movement creates “static” in your connection with your horse, which ultimately wastes time and energy. No matter how good your instructor is, if you can’t self-correct your alignment you can’t improve your skill level. Instructors will learn how to help their students self-correct through anatomical cues, imagery, and aligned movement.

IT’S EASIER TO MAKE SELF-CORRECTIONS WHEN YOU’RE HIGHLY IN TUNE WITH YOUR BODY, MENTALLY FOCUSED, AND DEEPLY AWARE OF HOW YOUR MUSCLES, BONES, AND ORGANS WORK.

FRANKLIN METHOD® GIVES YOU PRACTICAL TOOLS TO FOCUS YOUR MIND AND BECOME MORE SELF-AWARE SO YOU CAN IMPROVE YOUR CONNECTION WITH YOUR HORSE. THE FM APPROACH ALSO GREATLY IMPROVES PROPRIOCEPTION, OR YOUR ABILITY TO FEEL WHAT’S GOING ON IN YOUR OWN BODY, AND WHAT’S GOING ON FOR YOUR HORSE.
